If you had to sum up your life philosophy in one sentence, what would it be?
- Is it all worth it? Yes!!! – Applicable philosophy when feeling the accumulative weight of responsibility, parenting or adulting.
- Cut myself some slack, some compassion as I’ve never done or experienced this before. – applicable philosophy when dealing with extremely challenging situation – such as a death of a parent, a health diagnosis of a child/loved one.
- Baby girl, you were born for this!
- Be kind.… not generically nice, but genuinely heart and soul kind.
- If you think you can, you can!
- If you think you can’t, you won’t!.
- Breathe… Just breathe. Life exists in each single breath.
- Healthy boundaries.… period!
- Life really is beautiful once you stop, refocus your gaze and notice the small magical nondescript moments.
- If you can- do. If you can’t – don’t.
- Don’t let others take up real estate in your head.
My absolute personal philosophy is ‘learn to be the pragmatic dreamer, the tethered cloud and the selective juggler rolled all into one. Part joker, mad scientist, poet, deep thinker, change agent, compassionately kind, loyal, loving and self-aware. Yet no one’s fool – determined, assertive and driven by a deeply intrinsic moral and ethical code.
If you make a mistake, accept it, shake it off and pick up where you left off. It’s okay, it really is. We all make mistakes, what defines us is how we learn and move on.
And finally, know your boundaries, your parameters, as that is where real freedom comes. Once you know the outer limits you’re free to explore every ounce of space in between – challenge and push yourself, compassionately. Respectfully and gently.
