Strangely enough

What was your first ever videogame?

I’ve never really been into video games. Shocking! Diabolical! Positively uncouth! I just never had the brain or vestibular/proprioceptive systems that made video games enjoyable or interesting. I did enjoy watching others play them (and have spent countless hours doing so) . For some reason video games just never appealed to me, or some even stressed me out, frustrated me, over stimulated me, bored me, intimidated me or just made me feel dizzy. Strange but true – especially minecraft – there’s something in that, that just made me feel like I had motion sickness. I guess I found a lot of the video games gratuitously violent- and I’m quite sensitive to some particular things. The violence of the heavy artillery, the core of blood splatter, is not my thing.

My husband on the other hand grew up playing video games, surrounding himself in LAN party video game all nighters, where he would build city scapes, take on monsters and heavy warfare.

I on the other hand couldn’t get into it – I’d have rather watched a movie, read a book or just daydreamed my time away.
