If you could switch lives with a famous person for a week, who would it be and why?
Call me boring, but my reality is that there is actually no real live breathing famous person whom I’d wish to change lives for with a week. There are however a plethora of famous fictional characters that I’d jump at a chance of being for a week. If I can swap bodies and lives for a week, why would I emulate ordinary people who simply have the added burden of fame? I wouldn’t !
So instead I chose to be outrageous. I chose to be a character that is bigger than time and space themselves. I chose to be the Time Lord, Doctor Who. I’d ride my trusty steed, the TARDIS aka Blue Police Box throughout the furthest reaches of unknown space and time. I’d meet beings that only the wildest imaginations could conjure up. I’d race through space, giggling as I escaped the clutches of the Daleks, Weeping Angels and Cybermen. I’d peer in absolute disbelief at the moons, galaxies and stars. I’d relish the deepest quietest parts of space, the only sounds the pulsating hum of the TARDIS as it purrs through space. Like the Doctor, I’d wonder as I wandered. I’d be the wandering wondering Doctor Who. I’d delight in the sights, tastes, colours and experiences of space – of meeting beings vastly different and yet eerily similar. I’d enjoy the quiet of my own company and delight in observing what many believe to be the unobservable. I’d safely feel the warmth of the sonic screwdriver in my pocket, as I’d knowingly bridge the step between the safety of my TARDIS and the unknown alien terrain. Can I have longer than a week? There’s literally multiple life times of exploration to accomplish!
