If you could go back in time and give your younger self advice, what would it be?

Regardless of how resilient you are, how strong you feel, how compassionate you are – you do not need to carry another person’s behaviours, excuses or expectations. Learn to breathe for yourself. Learn to carry your own worries. Do not feel as though you have to be someone’s emotional packhorse. Learn to build and maintain robust and healthy boundaries. You are enough, you are worthy. You do not need to carry the weight of the world on your small yet broad shoulders. So be wild, be free and be your beautiful self. And when you’re ready start reading up on resilience, self-compassion, boundaries, somatic healing and trauma, narcissism and triangulation. Enjoy life – run, swim, ride, climb, play, imagine and don’t try to hold onto the ends of life’s frayed rope – let go and embrace life with your open hands, open mind and open heart.
