What is your favorite drink?

My absolute favourite drink is water, H2O. It’s part of my daily regimen, 2.2 litres of water (not cold but room temperature). I also love freshly squeezed lemon in a glass of icy water, even made more delicious with freshly chopped (or ripped) mint from my garden.

I also love my morning mug (definitely 600ml) of steaming hot unsweetened almond milk with coffee.

Another favourite is my delicious smoothies made with unsweetened almond milk (Vitasoy brand) fresh medjool dates, frozen berries and banana.

And another favourite is freshly squeezed juices. I actually went on a juice fast a few years back. I lasted 2months on juices and fresh smoothies and water. I felt amazing.

I don’t like the taste of alcohol, hence the reason it never made it onto my list.

If I’m feeling really indulgent I will whip up cooled coconut cream into a luscious whipped vegan cream, adding some pure maple syrup and a hint of fresh vanilla bean paste. It will proudly sit atop a cup of iced almond milk chocolate or coffee, which had been blended using ice cubes. I don’t use any artificial sugars, syrups or sweeteners. I don’t like sickly sweetness. It’s usually just unsweetened almond milk, good quality coffee, ice cubes all blended together. Australians take our coffee seriously and as such have great quality products.

One things for sure, I’m about to go make my morning coffee, and drink my morning water. Perhaps after work I might whip up some coconut cream and treat myself and kids to iced coffees or chocolates.

And I do love a great cup of herbal tea.
