Selectively Juggling

I find it interesting that the words ‘leisure time’ aren’t widely used here (In Australia) . In fact, not once have I referred to my ‘free time’ or ‘spare time’ as being ‘leisure time’. I’m more inclined to use the word leisure, as ‘I went for a leisurely stroll/walk’ or as a bit of a dig at someone who is running late , “ gee, you took your leisurely time!”. So, what I prefer to do in my personal time, is to ensure I maintain a healthy work/life balance and boundaries. This means not succumbing to my curiosity to check teams, or outlook on my work laptop or work mobile phone, when I’m actually not on the clock. It’s not always easy though, especially when Teams & Outlook notifications come through to my personal mobile phone as well.
