What is your favorite place to go in your city?
Sydney Opera House: The Sydney Opera House looks amazing anytime of the day or night. She looks phenomenal ablaze in sunlight. She also looks glorious when contrasted against a moody stormy sky scape. At night her lights come alive, creating a labyrinth of lines, shapes and contours. It is a urban photographer’s dream.
Milson’s Point: I love sitting on the foreshore underneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Sitting in the park I can observe the harbour before me, ferries and boats creating wave after wave. In a somewhat orchestral synchronised dance. The water glistens and the city heaves alive. It’s a wonderful place to observe, breathe and just be in the moment.
Beaches and Waterways: I love the stunning coastline, littered with dramatic cliffs and sandstone escarpments. Glorious sun drenched, smooth golden sands greet my tired feet. The clear blue waters envelope my toes, and I squeal like a small girl again.
Hyde Park: Beautifully lush manicured park grounds, provide a welcome reprieve amidst the concrete and glass of the city. Stunning water features and fountains add additional beauty. I feel privileged sitting on the grass, legs stretched out, devouring lunch, feeling the sunshine beat down. I love observing the people as the hurriedly go about their day.
Museums, Art Galleries: Sydney is home to great museums and art galleries.
Royal Botanical Gardens: This is another incredible green space hugging Sydney Harbour and The Opera House. I’ve spent countless hours picnicking here amongst the tall trees, manicured gardens and water views.
