A kid at heart …

What does it mean to be a kid at heart?

It means being able to readily summon feelings and experiences of joy. It means allowing myself to live in the moment and embrace a sense of awe and wonder. At its very core it allows me to be both grounded and an untethered balloon at the same time. My inner child keeps my ego at bay, and is the source of my compassion and intuition. She’s my fierce little warrior that successfully got me through some very traumatic events.

  1. Being a “kid at heart” doesn’t mean one is immature or irresponsible; rather, it’s about maintaining a youthful spirit, embracing joy and wonder, and not letting the stresses and burdens of adulthood completely overshadow the childlike qualities that make life enjoyable and fulfilling. Many people find that holding onto this sense of childlike wonder can bring more happiness and creativity to their lives.
