It’s the little things that can really make a difference.

After a relatively busy week of juggling home and work life, it was great to get out into the garden and get the serotonin coursing through my body. Digging into the earth while being bathed in glorious sunshine is incredibly health-giving. I replanted some herbs and veggies and picked limes, mandarins and lemons. I stood in awe as bees readied themselves for flight, their little furry legs covered in lavender pollen. A beautiful kookaburra watched after gorging itself on some meat I left for it. I felt its curious eyes follow my every move. I spent time simply marvelling at the small native strawflowers that I’ve grown from seed. I only used my mobile phone’s camera (cell phone), but it was good enough to capture a fraction of their beauty.
