Cacophony

Iridescence aglow, awash in moonlight fading
Spiralling, chaotically coruscating
Visitors perhaps, from lands afar,
Visitors perhaps, from a distant star.

Blinding, buzzing cacophony of sound,
Whirling, eruption of earth’s sacred ground
Frantically running to escape the haze,
Not thinking clearly, trapped in a daze.

Portals opening everywhere,
Releasing deadly acrid air.
Coughing, spluttering it’s hard to breathe,
my chest is heavy, I start to heave.

Reaching, falling darkness prevails,
Succumbing easily humanity fails.
Simulation over, we start again.
